Blogs, encourage your clients to communicate with their customers via their websites. Blogs are more effective than email newsletters and enhance a site’s search engine optimisation.

How does a project with Performance Web work?

We want you to think of Performance Web as your partner in building web sites.

We can be as visible or invisible to your client as you like. We respect your relationship with your client and we will conduct all of our communications through you.

Alternatively, if you want a visible technical presence then we can be present via the telephone and email or at meetings if required.

When you have a new site to build, contact us to discuss the requirement and we will provide you with an estimate for the work required.

Once you have the go ahead from the client,  you design the website in the normal way - layout, outline, navigation etc

Once the layout is agreed we take your designs as graphics and turn them into templates. These include the overall style of the site and the navigation system, but no actual content.

When we create the templates we define areas within each template that will hold content, these are known as “panes”.

These templates are setup inside our content delivery system ready for use.

The empty pages of the site are then created, each page has a template applied and content can then be added to each pane.

The content in the panes is handled by “modules”. Different Modules are used for different jobs, for example, there is a Text/HTML module for handling freeform text and images, there is one for displaying RSS Feeds and another for building download pages. You can choose whichever module suits your requirement best. There are plenty of modules available as soon as your site is defined and many more are available on the open market and if you still can’t find what you need, we can easily develop custom modules that do exactly what you want.

What does it cost?

Hosting sites in our Content Management System costs from £250 per year + VAT (where applicable).

This also includes unlimited email addresses for the domain being hosted.

Development of templates takes as little a half a day depending on the complexity of the design and the number of different templates required.

Once your site is defined and the templates are in the system you can build the site yourself, adding pages and content as required. However, we are always available to help, as much or as little as needed. We can also provide training for the content management system, either for you or your clients.
